High School Prophecy

Posted by: glique on: October 26, 2007

It was Sunday, 9:11 am in my watch. I was awaked by this lady whom happened to have a beautiful, voice. She was a stewardess attending the passengers of the plane I’m in to, Philippine Airlines. For a second, I stared blankly by the window. I had a glimpse to the lady. She looked familiar. She said that in 20 minutes the plane will take off and told us to prepare ourselves. When she was only two seats away from me, I was surprised to recognize her. I knew she was Iya, my classmate in highschool. Whew, look at her. She’s damn gorgeous in her long sleeves and mini skirt uniform. For minutes we talked to each other and exchanged stories for awhile. I got her number and bid goodbye. The driver picked me up by the airport. Now, I’m heading to this place, my secretary texted me, Token Gen restaurant in Tagaytay. It took me 2 hours to go there. It was an opening thanksgiving of the restaurant. At the place, I was shocked to see Me-an there, my classmate too. I can’t believe, she was the owner of this newly opened restaurant. Well, she was also the co-owner of Canyon Woods and Tagaytay Highlands.

I was about to stand to where I was seated and leave to attend a press conference in Manila when suddenly my eye was captured by a limou coming. A guy went down in striped black Americana. He’s so charming in his suit I should say. He was given a warm welcome as if he is one v.i.p. Soon afterwards, the speaker introduced him. He was said to be a young CPA Lawyer and first take board passer. One of the special guests on other than…John Charles Jamias. I was surprised to see him. Two old classmates in one occasion. I can’t believe. Can this be true? So after a short message, he settled into his chair. I think he recognized us. He came closely to our table and what do you expect….of course we hugged each other and exchanged stories. With regards to his lovelife, he said that many girls are still stalking him…and we burst into laughing…hehe.. I texted my secretary I cant come to the press con..

The next day, I went to LaSalle to resume my classes there. I always love serving to my alma mater, so during my vacant time, I’m having my classes there in Taft Ave., teaching Higher Accounting. I love when students call me professor. My bestfriend Steph, a surgeon in Makati Medical Center, called me up. She invited me to watch the opening of the 44th Sea Games. It will be held in Rizal Complex beside DLSU. It was already 9:00 pm when the program started. After it started, I was bothered. I thought I saw Dilag, Dilag Panganiban. Hmmm….could it be her? When players from every country in their designated sports were introduced, I saw her again. By now, I’m really sure she’s Dilag.I told Steph about it. Because of too much excitement, we went down to see her. So when we saw her, I hurriedly hugged her. She almost screamed when she saw us. She said she was really surprised. She told me us she was one of the Philippine representatives of women’s volleyball. Dakila was also there in support of her sister. Aside from that he is also the Head of the Philippine Sport Commission and had just finished his speech. What made me more surprised is to see Andre there. He’s been training with Japoy for almost 4 years and they really prepared for this one. whew!! After the opening ceremony I invited them to have coffee in StarBucks. Dilag asked for four months leave from the Aristocrat management because she was the Master Chef there while Andre has been concentrating in his taekwondo Team after graduating Sports Science from University of Sto. Tomas and Daki, he is one of the organizers of this celebration.

The next day I was in my office in Makati. Being the Manager of DILEON Associates, I usually go on board meetings with other managers of other companies and corporations. To see is to believe, I found myself mingling with the branch managers of Coca-Cola and Shell, Mr. Reyjondel Marasigan and Aljon De Sagun. Aside from that I met there, the owners of I-lom square corporation, Gee!! They are Romeo, R. J., Ken and Charles. Through the years, the four of them are still magbabarkada!! Also present is I.T. specialist and consultant Master….I mean Lawrence!! He exactly became who he wanted to be!! And not to mention, the over-all in charge in designing, JessBeth. She’s been working here and abroad, won many design contests in New York, Paris and London. I’m so proud of them. As usual, I got their numbers and e-mail ads for future use.

After three weeks I went back to Las Vegas. One time I was scanning the channels of my flat screen tv, I saw a reporter who exactly looked like my friend Lala. I finished the whole news and when I saw her name…Lala Aseremo..I am really impressed… One of the reporters in CNN. She was reporting about the new ambassador of Philippines to Australia, his name was Jacky Acosta. As I stepped out from my unit, I saw a petite gurl, who by the way she wears looked very fashionable and eye catcher. I went down in the bar and saw in there the same woman. She dropped her pen. I tried to call her to give her pen. As she looked back, her dazzling face was illuminated by the light ….. I saw in her my classmate Katrina. She never recognized me not until when I spoke her name. Never thought we’re at the same place at the same time. She was currently a news editor of a fashion magazine in New York. She said Hannah and her were supposed to meet there. Speaking of the angel, she came along. I was stunned with her beauty. By the way, Hannah was a general doctor in NYMC. They told me that Aika and Shiela, were general doctor and head nurse assigned in one of the hospitals in London and that’s good for them.

When I went back to my room, I thought of calling Steph, her phone was off. After a few minutes, I called her again. She told me they just finished a 2 hour surgery of Mr. Revilla, the Senate President, in St. Luke. So I told her my plan. It was a reunion of our batch. After 11 long years, it’s nice to get in touch with each other and reminisce the past. The venue will be in St. Jerome College, the former St. Jerome International School. Hmmm…good thing I got some of the phone numbers of my classmates..

So it was set on March 31. Formal invitations are sent to them. EveryoneGilroy batch 05-06> is present. I saw Patrick and asked about his work. Never expected he is in the Regional Trial Court and serves as a judge. James, on the other hand, is working in the Department of Public Works and Highways as the chief architect.

We danced and partied all day long.. We had fun, reminisced the past. Exchanged our stories. Narrated the stories of our achievements, current jobs, unforgettable moments and of course love life. All of a sudden, a limousine is blowing its horn and so caught all our attention. It was our high school adviser Sir Anton who is now a multi-millionaire. He is with Tr. Ritchie and their child. We were all surprised!!! We hurriedly came closer to him..we asked Sir Anton when did they arrive..As we all know, Sir Anton and Tr. Ritchie are already Australian citizens and have their house in Australia. Some of the gurls even teared to see this batch reunited once again. We are all professionals in our own fields. It was like the night will never end. Party all night. We were even singing our graduation song until a loud alarm dominated the place. I was awakened by my 5:00 alarm. Yes!! I was dreaming!! What a dream!! It is one incredible dream!!!!! Oh well, I should get going it’s my first day of college. I should prepare. My blog will not miss this!!!!!!!
