In my 9 years of living in Manila, I think it’s the first time I got to walk the streets of Intramuros and just really be amazed by its look. I suddenly had a major appreciation of the place. It’s a haven for photo enthusiasts. Para bang nagiisqueeze yung mga creative juices mo while walking behind the walls of Intramuros. Tapos ang konti pa ng tao. You can take any vintage photo anytime, anywhere. Today, there’s this Pasyal Sundays organized by Viva Manila. Gen. Luna St was closed and there were different booths showcasing local products. At 6:30 pm, there was an open mic. I felt nostalgic.. it’s the same ambiance of Taal, Batangas and Boac, Marinduque. Para syang Barrio Fiesta. Feeling ko nasa movie ako tapos may mga flashbacks ng mga historic events sa lugar na ‘yon. Hasgtag artsyfartsy.
It was so nice because you get to appreciate the beauty of (old) Manila mixed with local art, music, good food and people who are into it! I think I’m gonna go back to Intramuros and will try the Bambike (bike made of Bamboo)! And that feeling when you experienced so much out of something unplanned and unintended! :p
